SAIL awards Danieli India a maintenance assistance contract for IISCO bar mill
Effective maintenance strategy on a co-operative basis
The IISCO plant, located in Burnpur, West Bengal, India, operates two rolling mills supplied by Danieli to produce steel bars and wirerod, which have a capacity of 0.6 Mtpy and 0.75 Mtpy respectively.
Under the new contract Danieli India will conduct preventive maintenance for the bar mill, improving plant availability. Maintenance activities will be performed in co-operation with IISCO’s maintenance team.
The Danieli India Service Team provides supports to Indian steel producers by drawing on the experience of its mechanical, hydraulic and electrical/automation and fluid engineers.
This contract marks the beginning of maintenance cooperation between Danieli and SAIL.
