The US energy pipe markets have strengthened in 2018, drilling rig counts have remained at a robust level and there is optimism that 2019 will be a good year for both oil country tubular goods (OCTG) and line pipe.
However, not everything is perfect as there have been market strains due to Section 232 and import quotas and tariffs to name but a few.
