University of Trieste Scholarship
The Danieli award for graduates from the Master’s program in electrical and systems engineering or electronics and telecommunications engineering.
It had been two years since the Danieli award for graduates from the Master’s program in electrical and systems engineering or electronics and telecommunications engineering from the Università degli Studi di Trieste had not been awarded.
No student had achieved the academic requirements to qualify (the degree had to be obtained within a demanding timeframe and top marks).
This year the recipient of the award is Matteo Olivo, 25 years old, who got his Master’s Degree in electrical engineering with a mark of 110 (summa cum laude).
The ceremony to hand out the award, which is worth 3 thousand euros, was held on February 15, and was attended by the Dean of the University of Trieste, Mr. Matteo Fermeglia, and by Sergio Carrato, professor of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture and member of the selection committee. Present on behalf of the Danieli Group were Mr. Antonello Mordeglia, CEO of Danieli Automation, and Mrs. Paola Perabò, head of the Danieli Academy.
