A very challenging job endorsed by Tata Steel award
Danieli Service competence and creativity led to a successful BOF upgrading project
Tata Steel contracted Danieli India for the replacement of the lower and upper stacks of several BOF converters at the Jamshedpur plant.
This is a project which remained pending for a long time since commissioning, because of its complexity, due to the confined location of the BOF upper stacks and the safety concerns of the task.
Danieli design and service expertise along with Tata Steel maintenance proficiency ensured that this “impossible project” was accomplished.
The new upper stacks, manufactured by Danieli India at the Sri City workshops, boast an extended shelf-life and maintenance-friendly, upgraded design.
The uniqueness and innovation of this project earned the “Most Innovative Partner Award” presented by Tata Steel to Danieli Service, at the Tata Steel InnoVista Awards 2024.
