At the end of the visit, Mr. Gianpietro Benedetti, Chairman and CEO of Danieli, met with the delegation and declared: “We have been present in Iran since 1980 and have contributed to the development of the Iranian steel-making companies. Iran is an ideal country for the production of steel, since it is rich in mines and energy (gas). Certainly, the lifting of the sanctions will enable our collaboration to accelerate and become stronger. To complete the steel-making industry consolidation programmes, our collaboration will involve the local construction of most part of the equipment.”

The visit was therefore an opportunity to strengthen the mutual knowledge and lay the foundations for possible future collaborations that are soon going to develop both in Iran and in Italy.
