Work Safety: Danieli Illustrates Its Best Practices
Danieli hosted the visit of 14 students of the inter-university graduate degree program “Workplace Accident Prevention Techniques”
On Thursday, March 31, 2016, our company hosted the visit of 14 students of the inter-university (Universities of Udine and Trieste) graduate degree program “Workplace Accident Prevention Techniques”, accompanied by Mr. Luca Triadantasio, the didactic tutor of the course.
The visit was divided into three phases:
- Presentation of the Danieli Group – Danieli Academy;
- Work safety at Danieli – Danieli Academy;
- Visit to the Danieli Workshops.
The meeting was focused on illustrating the evolution of the work safety management in the company to the attending students.
Innovation and attention to safety within the company’s different work environments have made it possible to exponentially reduce the frequency and seriousness of accidents at work: the frequency index decreased from 61.95 in 2000/01 to 9.3 in 2014/15, while the seriousness index decreased from 1.13 in 2000/2001 to 0.23 in 2014/15.
“Safety comes first”: this is the philosophy which has enabled Danieli & C. SPA to become a leader also in this field, providing its employees with suitable training and enabling them to work in healthy and safe environments.
