Danieli high-productivity straight bar production lines achieve over 180 t/h of 10-mm-dia bar/rebar production through the High-speed Twin Channel system for a 96-meter-long straight bar running onto the cooling bed at a speed of 50 m/s (180 km/h), braked and discharged in less than 2 seconds or over 130 t/h wehn using multi-stand slit rolling technology.
Danieli multi-strand slit rolling technology is a combination of a special roll pass design and guide equipment to shape and longitudinally separate the incoming billet into 2, 3, 4 or 5 individual strands. These are then rolled together (as one bar) down to the finished size in the finishing mill stands, simultaneously cut into multiple lengths and fed together onto the cooling bed through the traditional ”apron-type” entry roller table at maximum speeds of up to 20 m/s for two-strand slitting and 13 m/s for four or five-strand slitting.
